Christmas Mystery Block Number 1
I shared block number 3 the other day. This is block number 1. I had it cut out long ago, but put one of the sections together wrong so I put it aside. Well last night I got it out again, went through the pieces and here she is! Not to bad. I still have a ways to go, but this monthly practice will be just what I need.
(They call this a "Mystery" quilt because you don't know what the individual blocks will look like before you join the club. Each month they send you a new block pattern and the fabric to make that month's block. At the end of 12 months you will have 12 blocks to put your quilt together. - See information at The Fat Quarter Shop if you are interested in joining in!

Christmas Block of the Month
A couple months back I joined this Mystery Block of the Month Club through The Fat Quarter Shop. I get a new block pattern and the fabric once a month. This is block 3. It is called Wreath Over My Door. Good thing they give you fabric in abundance - I cut (and re-cut) a few of the pieces a few times!!

Who Let The Dogs Out?

I did the ears a little different this time. I used an uber soft, rosette fabric to accompany the flannel. In this view you can also see the silver glitter in the butterfly fabric a little better. This quilt has two glitter fabrics in it. The pink section in the leg with the red hearts on it has silver farries in it that doesn't come through in the picture.

Scraping With The Girls
Saturday, Kari organized a crop at the Oasis for people to have the opportunity to visit with Sherry who was visiting from Australia. Sherry had come to the states to attend the summer CHA. She came sharing gifts of things she had acquired there. We had a blast sharing and giggling and just being girls having a good time. She also brought a generous supply of chipboard from Scrapware (an Australian company) to share with all of us. I used some of the chipboard on each of the layouts I worked on.
These 4 layouts were from the July Basic Grey monthly kit with just a few modifications.
These were pictures of Arianna when she was just a wee little baby.
This is the family house that my father grew up in. The little boy in the picture is, I believe, my brother as a youngin.
The baby in this picture is my great grandmother with four generations of women. I am still lacking one name. Once I get that name, I will add the names to the layout.
