Camera Update
Well it is not good news, but it is not entirely bad news either. They have to send my camera back to Sony for repair. They are estimating $300 for repairs. A new camera, the same model would cost me about $500-$600. The step-up model would cost me $1,200. Since I have a few nice lens and books to go with my model, I will just have this one fixed. Bummer part, it looks like I won't have my big camera when we go on our Alaskan cruise this year.

Oh, noooooo, sorry to hear about your camera!!! I agree, the $300 alternative is a better way to go for sure. But it sure is a bummer you won't be able to take it on your cruise!
