Vacation pictures

Just a few random shots from our vacation so far. When we were getting back on the ship in Grand Cayman, we spotted a funnel cloud. Just the thing you want to see when getting back on the ship via one of those little boats.
Gino brought a few cigars for the guys.
Playing with the dolphins!
Getting a kiss from a dolphin
Gino got a double kiss (don't ask - don't tell)
Formal night - isn't my son handsome!!
On the pool deck with my funky monkey drink!!

When two ships collide

Confusion ensues. I was in our cabin at the time of the collision and at first I thought it was thunder as a storm was a brewing. I got up to look outside our balcony window and saw our ship colliding with the ship next door. Oh my. The ship opposite ours scraped past ours ( or we scrapped past theirs. We collided two or three times. I believe the other ship was Royal Caribbean's Enchantment of the Seas. Those railings are not supposed to be laying over. They are supposed to be standing up. I didn't get a shot of the ships mashed together.
This is some of the damage to our ship. Here you can see the window have all been crashed through and the railing pushed over.
That is the damage to the other ship. You can see where the railing has been pushed back and the scrapage below it. There is also one of the windows poked out.

One of the guys was joking in the elevator that the other ship scrapped off the name of the ship, the Legend, and under neith was revealed the true name of the ship - the Titatic!! The happened as we were departing Cozamel. There was a big wind gush about that time. After a brief delay, we are on our way to Belize.

Cruising The Carnival Legend

Sunday we boarded the Carnival Legend!! Not a great shot of our welcome aboard photo (taken with my camera).
First off is always the lifeboat drill. I snapped this one of my parents when we were being directed past my parents.
My Patrick and I learning what to do in the event of an actual emergency.
There is lots of art all around the ship. Alot of it open to what you see. Pat is trying to figure this one out.

What do you see?
Saliling out of the port of Tampa. Bon Vonage!!

When did Baliey get so old?

Don't you associate the pill reminder cups with older people? When did my dog get old? We picked up one if these for Bailey. No more guessing which pills he gets today (he takes different pills on alternating days) and did he get his morning (or evening) pills. It really is helpful.

What a great song by Rascal Flats

A song some radio stations are banning

The song you are about to listen to is from a Las Vegas
Diamond Rio concert.
They received an immediate resounding standing ovation,
and continue to do so every time they perform it!
Sadly, major radio stations wouldn't play it because it
was considered 'politically incorrect'.

Consequently, the song was never released to the public.

Now Congress is getting involved. Your President is saying that is not fit for release because it offends so many.

So America , see what you think.. can we say "CENSORSHIP"

If this offering speaks to your heart and you feel you
want to share it with friends and loved ones, please do.

Big and Ugly

This guy was outside my bedroom window on Saturday morning. My first thought was UGH. My next thought was, I need to run outside and get a picture of that. So after a few shots, I called Patrick over to kill it. Oh my, he was about the size of a quarter. The web that he had spun was about two feet, maybe three feet across. I am so glad I saw it before someone walked through it.

New Charm Bracelet ~ Disney Charm Bracelet

We got to Disneyland a little earlier than Ching on Sunday and I still had some of Patrick's birthday Mickey Money to spend, so I went shopping! Disneyland is currently running a special that you get in free on your birthday. Since we have annual passes, you get a gift card equal to admission on your birthday = $72.00. So I was looking around the jewelry store. I saw a really nice watch, but when do I wear a watch? Then I saw this charm bracelet!! I fell in love with it! I absolutely love bracelets and this one is a charm bracelet to boot! Isn't it just the cutest??

Time Spent with Ching

Sunday, Pat and I met up with Ching over at Disneyland. It was to be a day of Ching and I catching up on each other's lives. We had a relaxing day of just meandering around the park, enjoying the day and chatting up a storm. We did lunch at the Rain Forest Cafe and then went over to the California Adventure. It was a fun day.

Bob's Big Boy

The Bob's Big Boy chain here in Southern California seem to have closed all the restaurants a while back. Well not to long ago, they started opening back up. We got our 1st Bob's Big boy in Orange County a month or so back. We finally got an opportunity to go over (when the lines fin allay went down) to try it out. Pat was wondering if they still had the Chili Size on the menu. It was spaghetti noodles with a hamburger patty on top and Bob's chili poured over the top. it was there, but in a modified way. It is now called Spaghetti Chili and it doesn't have the hamburger patty. pat ordered an extra patty and had it his way. It was actually very good. I had the Chicken Stir fry (don't waste your time ordering that). I liked Pat's so much that I wanted to share it with Anthony so I got an order to go. I told him when I brought it home not to waste it, that if he didn't like it, that I would eat it later. Take it from me, the Spaghetti Chile doesn't travel well. Anthony didn't like it and when I heated it up later that night, it didn't taste the same. Next time we go back, I would like to try their Nut & Grain pan cakes!

The Last Dinner at DJ's

Well, it was the last dinner that the 6 of us will share at Don Jose's. It had become a Thursday night tradition, going to Don Jose's with Tryone and Collene and my mom and dad. We would always sit in the bar and Max was our waiter. He knew how each of us liked our food. Max even covered the check that night. Now Tryone and Collene are off on a new adventure in San Antiono, TX. We will miss you Tryone and Collene. Thursdays (and Wendesdays and Fridays) will never be the same.

3 Generations of Love

This picture was taken back in June. Pat and I and Ryan, Darleen and Rylee paid a visit out to see Bob and Chrystal. Isn't this a great shot of 3 generations! The layout is a kit that I picked up from the Oasis.

Pool Fun

Jillian and the kids came down to the park to hang out for Patrick's birthday. We spent a little time in the pool at the Disney's Grand Hotel before going into California Adventure for lunch. They had two slides. A large circluar slide that Jillian, Arianna and I went on and a smaller rock type slide for the little kids that we all went on as well. Amara loved the little slide. She would slide down, get caught and the the first words she would say as soon as you caught her is ~ "I want to do it again"!! Patrick called her the Energizer Bunny as she didn't want to stop!

Slip n Slide

Can't you just tell how much fun the kids had playing on the slip-n-slide!! I dug deep into the supplies for this layout. The paper is from the Rhonna Farrer line that I received two years ago while attending Creative Escape. The lettering and fishes are from the Cricut cartridge, Life is a Beach. The colors are a bit brighter than I usually use. I am quite pleased with the look of the layout. I might have to use the brighter color line a bit more often!!

Voting is Up

As you know, I have been participating in the "Queen of Paradise Island" contest over at Croppin Paradise. I have made it to the Final Round and am among 8 other talented scrapbookers competing for the crown (and a stash of supplies).
The final challenge was to use product that was older than 6 months. It was easy enough to find product in my stash that is over 6 months old. I haven't been buy much lately. I used the Making Memories Animal Crackers line, which is easily over a year old as this is the line I decided to use for Mandre's 1st year scrapbook. What may not be apparent from the scan is the hand stitching around the circle. (Thanks for suggesting that Karen!) I just love how this layout came out.

Voting is up. http://answers.polldaddy.com/poll/1957119/ Go now and vote for the best layout!!

Happy Birthday My Love

Thursday we celebrated Patrick's birthday by spending the WHOLE day at Disneyland. Yes ~ stop the presses, I stayed the WHOLE day. The park was open from 9 - 9 and I stayed the whole time!! LOL ( I will post more pictures from the day later)

As we were leaving the park at 9:00pm, I was telling my Pat that I made it the whole day. The gentleman in front of me said that it didn't count as the park closed early. "A whole day means 8:00am to midnight (or 2:200am on New Year's Eve)." My Pat had to agree with him. I say nay, nay, it counts!!

I hope I made your day a special one my love. You make everyday special for me. Love you!!
