Sketch #146 Reveal!

We went to Knott's Berry Farm with Ryan, Darleen and the grandkids.  There is this truck ride called Rocky Road Trucking Company.  The adults can ride in the back and the kids drive the truck in the front.  They have these really annoying honking horns that the kids just love to honk.  UGH!!  The grandma, she didn't enjoy the horns so much, but the joy on the kids faces made it all worth while!

I used sketch number 146 as my inspiration at Let's Capture These Sketches.  Come play along, I would love to see what you create!

Merry Christmas

I must be on a Basic Grey kick. 3 out of the last 4 layouts have been done with Basic Grey papers. This layout features the BG Fruitcake line. The presents are all Sizzix small dies. There is a shimmery gold pen outlining the letters, gold ribbon, a stamp here and there on the presents and cream fabric under all that as well. the beautiful subject of my layout is my granddaughter Rylee. The picture is from December 2007. The layout was inspired by a sketch at the Sketch Inspiration blog as well as a challenge at the Color Me Daisy forum.

Slip n Slide

Can't you just tell how much fun the kids had playing on the slip-n-slide!! I dug deep into the supplies for this layout. The paper is from the Rhonna Farrer line that I received two years ago while attending Creative Escape. The lettering and fishes are from the Cricut cartridge, Life is a Beach. The colors are a bit brighter than I usually use. I am quite pleased with the look of the layout. I might have to use the brighter color line a bit more often!!

Birthday Girl

Look at this cutie! Can you tell how old she is? I love how this layout came out. It was really a group effort. I got together with the girls to scrapbook on Saturday and we had a ball. Let's see, I used Yolanda's Cuttlebug folder for the embossed happy birathday in the upper left corner and Yolanda's sanding block to bring take off the color and bring up the white. Eva's Cuttlebug flowers and more of Yolanda's embossing folders. Kari's Glimmer Mist for the green color. Yolanda's Glimmer Mist for the suede color. Karen's idea for the paper pleating on the right side of the picture. I also used the Martha Stewart loopy punch all around the outside of the layout. Thanks Ladies - I had a great time. This layout was for the Queen of Paradise Island Challenge over at Croppin Paradise. The challenge was to only use cardstock on a layout. Voting is today - http://answers.polldaddy.com/poll/1936731/

Stay tuned for Wednesday. The final challenge layout will be revealed and voting will be up then.

This is a layout I made of our latest trip out to visit Bob and Chrystal. Ryan and Darleen came out this trip as well as Miss Rylee. It was A Big Change as Rylee keep them quite busy! A fun day was had by all!
