Sergeants's Course Graduation

This is a photo of Gino's graduation form Sergeant's Course in 29 Palms this past June.  I did this layout for the School Days Challenge at For The Love Of Art.  I used the new "Glory" Authentic paper line as well as some really old lil Davis chipboard.  I also used the October Sketch from Mothers of Boys here.

St. Patrick's Day - 2012

This past St. Patrick's Day I told Patrick I wanted a shot of Jameson!  If you know me, I am not a drink - but rather a talker.  We met up with Gino and Bree at Bubba Gump's and I had a shot of Jameson.  After all, what is St. Patrick's Day without Irish Whiskey?  (I don't need to do that next St. Patrick's Day!)

I used the sketch at PageMaps for this layout.

Ready to Fly

How exciting was it for Mandre when Uncle Gino took him up to see inside the F18 jet. He even got to wear head gear just like Uncle Gino! I used MAMBI papers and the La La Land Luka Pilot stamp!

Let's Capture These Sketches - Sketch 127

We spent Christmas with Donald Duck! We actually caught Donald in a great mood. If you have seen the cartoons with Donald, he can sometimes be in a foul mood. Here is sketch 127 that I used for my inspiration. Come play along at Let's Capture These Sketches for a chance to win!http://letscapturethesesketches.blogspot.com/2012/04/sketch-127-reveal.html

Crop in Chino

So Kari invited me to attend the Chino crop on Saturday. She said there would be a few ladies there that we knew so I took her up on the offer. I was able to complete two layouts!

This laout is basked on Sketch 236 at www.pencillines.com. These pictures were taken on Mother's Day 2008 of Mandre and his wee lil son. Touching is what it is. It is hard to believe that lil Mandre is so big now. The paper line I used is Bo Bunny's Back to Basic's line.

This layout was looslely based on the May 28th sktech at Sassy lil sketches. I useed various scraps from Sasafras and Prima. The Celebrate is from Heidi Swap/Tattered Angels Mist*a*bles flocked & resist title line that I was given while attenting Colorful Connections last month. I just went through my junk bin and pulled things out and just kept puting different things on the layout. Kari chimmed in with various yes that looks great or no, not so much. I love how it came out.

Those Eyes

This is Gino when he was almost 2. He still has those amazing eyes. I used Basic Grey papers from the Oliva line and Prima bling for this layout. The inspiration came from two places ~ Colorful Creations had a Trains & Tiaras Challenge to use a close up photo and I also used the sketch at Sketch Inspiration as my base and took off from there.

American Pride

I completed this layout today of pictures Gino had sent me a while back. They are him and the other Embassy Guards meeting Lt. General Allen, a 3 Star General who is 2nd in command of the Central Command. United States Central Command (USCENTCOM) was established January 1, 1983. As its name implies, USCENTCOM covers the "central" area of the globe located between the European and Pacific Commands.

For this layout I used my Cricut electronic cutter to cut American Pride, the eagle and the letters for General. I used the Stand and Salute cartridge to cut this.

U.S. Independence Day Celebration at the U.S. Embassy in Tashkent

These are a couple of pictures I pulled down from the Uzbekistan Embassy website. My handsome son is on the far right hand side of the picture.
